When we called Mary at first was just for getting idea about reasonable value of my property in the market since we hadn't decided if we would go with a realtor or with private sale. She looked around the house within quite short time but, I believe, with very careful eyes by commenting a couple of things to be fixed.
As soon as getting the idea about the value, we simply made a question about pros and cons between hiring realtor and selling privately. She gave us detailed explanation against our concerns and it worked for us to find a couple of good reason to hire her. The most important goal to hire expert for us was finalizing the selling process as soon as possible, of course, with good deal.
Finally, we had decided to go with Mary. During the first week of selling, I had to travel to Las Vegas for work and I didn't expect the deal would made until I got back in town. On the first showing date, we got an offer and Mary and I communicated over the phone, fax and email and it worked perfectly as I were in my house and then the deal had been made before leaving from Las Vegas.
I, for sure, am able to see their work and effort and experience to make success.

If anyone was to tell us that we would see a listing that included all the features we were looking for,
attend an open house, purchase the home, prepare and list our current home, and sell it – ALL within less than two weeks,
we would say that would be impossible! But we can now tell you …. Working with the DeFranco’s this was possible.

Purchasing your first house is always exciting but it can also be very intimidating. Mary helped us buy our first home 8 years ago and unsurprisingly, when our daughter started looking into getting her own place we called the DeFrancos right away.
Mary makes the entire purchasing experience run so smoothly! There was never pressure or unnecessary stress and we simply enjoyed the entire process. She is a highly qualified professional and truly a pleasure to work with.

When we first moved to Barrhaven 10 years ago, we joked that if ever we
decided to sell our home we would have to call the Defrancos because their
names and pictures were everywhere it seemed. A few months back the time
came when we were 'toying' with selling our home and needed some real estate
input. We decided to invite Mary DeFranco into our home just to take a look
at our place "give us an estimate" what we might be able to list our home at
if we decided to sell, plus we wanted to ask her some questions about the
whole selling process and the current market. Mary entered our home (fully
aware we were in no hurry to buy or sell at that point) and instantly we
felt comfortable with her and knew we were in good hands. The main reason
we felt this way was because she took her time with us and answered many
questions and treated us with the utmost respect even though we had noted we
weren't ready to post at the present time...she never once made us feel we
were wasting her time.
What happened next was a complete and unplanned whirlwind...we decided to
'browse' the market with Mary when a listing caught our eye...again just to
'look' and Mary gladly met us to walk us through each listing we wished to
see. Ultimately a very short time passed when Mary and Frank told us about
a property that sounded like it met all of our criteria, when we did go, it
was everything we wanted and so much more...the next thing we knew, we had
to have it! The Defranco team jumped into action and after many emails,
phone calls, paperwork and fast acting details we bought the house of our
dreams. However then it meant we had to move fast and sell our current
home. Within days, everything was set and ready to show...we could never
have taken on this challenge alone, it would have been utterly overwhelming
without Mary's guidance every step of the way.
Travis came in and took our photos and virtual tours, all the while I was
continuing to run my home based daycare in the midst of it all. Travis and
Mary jumped in so professionally and did everything they needed to and had
fun with our active household while doing so. The end result was breath
taking! Our website listing and our brochures were unbelievable when
completed and everyone we show them to is so impressed with the quality and
detail given to them. We had an offer on our home the first day of showing
and a sold sign on our lawn a few days later. We were shocked and amazed
given that other homes in our area had been, and some still are, listed for
months prior to ours being listed. We could never have accomplished all we
did in such a short period of time.
During this entire process I felt like we were Mary's only client, anything
we needed whether it be questions or concerns, properties to view, stress or
worries needing a professional opinion, or simply gentle guidance and
support, Mary was there for us anytime and the whole DeFranco team really
became like family to us, especially to our two small children who still
speak fondly of our "drives to meet Mary". We have successfully sold a
house that we built and called home for ten years and now are moving to a
wonderful home of our dreams to continue our life, building new family
memories there. None of this would have been possible without the help and
professionalism of the entire DeFranco team. Their slogan is, "Call the
DeFrancos, You'll Be Glad You Did", well we did just that and we are
"Absolutely Glad We Did!" Thank you Mary, Frank and Travis for all you've
